About Holly
If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you I love my work. I am a practitioner who entered this field with a sincere desire to help improve people's lives. I am also an academic and an educator. My extensive formal education coupled with my unique personal and professional experience both at home and abroad has blessed me with insight, compassion, a unique worldview and the ability to communicate effectively.
Holly's Background
My education is ongoing whether formal or informal. I am continually learning from all of the experiences I have with everyone I come in contact with. I learn from my clients, my friends, and my family members. I learn from the participants in my workshops and seminars. All of these interactions push my thinking further and compel me to keep my heart and mind open and flexible, as life is continuously evolving. From the time I was small I was fortunate enough to learn about other cultures by living in them and going to school in both the US and Europe. People, languages and culture have had a great impact on me throughout my life.
I have always seen the importance of the brain/body/spirit connection. So when EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness-based therapies became integrated into the mainstream, I incorporated all of them into my practice. Addiction also became a focus, both in my private practice and in groups. And, since we all develop in a social matrix, couple work has been of special interest to me as well. All of these areas has prompted me to learn the tools and new technologies that I continually use in my practice, workshops and professional seminars.
